Get Started With Long-acting Injections
Your treatment team wants to work with you to find what is best for your treatment, so try your best to be open and honest when discussing your health.
First, when I was first diagnosed, I took oral medication daily, but sometimes I would forget to take my dose or double-up accidentally because I couldn't remember if I had taken it or not. So the doctor said, ‘Maybe you should switch to a long-acting injectable form of the medication.’ And that's what I did.

Create Your Own Treatment Change Discussion Guide
Everyone’s schizophrenia treatment plan and journey is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all list of questions to ask when you or your loved one is considering making a change in medication. This customizable guide will help you have a better discussion with your treatment team based on the things that are important to you.
There are 2 kinds of questions in this guide:
What to discuss with your healthcare professional before starting INVEGA SUSTENNA®, INVEGA TRINZA®, or INVEGA HAFYERA®
Think you might be allergic to paliperidone, paliperidone palmitate, risperidone, or any of the ingredients in INVEGA SUSTENNA®, INVEGA TRINZA® & INVEGA HAFYERA® ? See the full Prescribing Information for a complete list of ingredients.
Your healthcare professional will need to test for tolerability using the active medication. Then you will receive 2 weekly starting doses of INVEGA SUSTENNA®. If you are currently taking INVEGA SUSTENNA®, this test and these starting doses are not necessary.
Tell your healthcare professional about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
Know the medicines you take. Keep a list of them to show to your healthcare professional or pharmacist when you get a new medicine.

INVEGA HAFYERA® and other medicines may affect each other causing possible serious side effects. INVEGA HAFYERA® may affect the way other medicines work, and other medicines may affect how INVEGA HAFYERA® works.
Your healthcare professional can tell you if it is safe to receive INVEGA HAFYERA® with your other medicines. Do not start or stop any medicines during treatment with INVEGA HAFYERA® without talking to your healthcare professional first.
