Getting Started on INVEGA SUSTENNA®
✶Your doctor will determine based on past treatment history if you need a test dose of oral paliperidone or risperidone prior to initiating INVEGA SUSTENNA®.
A healthcare professional will administer your injections as follows:
- You receive your first starting dose in your upper arm
- About 1 week later, you receive your second starting dose in your upper arm
- After that, you receive an injection every 4 weeks in either your upper arm or buttocks
Remember: It's important to keep all of your appointments and get your injections on time. Missing injections of INVEGA SUSTENNA® could cause your symptoms to return. If you miss an injection appointment, talk to your doctor as soon as possible so he or she can decide next steps.

Your doctor will decide which dose you need and monitor your progress over time to determine if your dose should be adjusted. Your ongoing maintenance dose may be different from your starting dose.
How INVEGA SUSTENNA® works
INVEGA SUSTENNA® is gradually released in the body and proven to treat schizophrenia symptoms when given every 4 weeks. Used longer term, it may also delay time to relapse. You must remember to get your injections every 4 weeks, or your symptoms may come back.
